Our family began farming in the Wimmera region of Victoria almost a century ago, and we are passionate about our town, our region and our food

Chickpea, (Cicer arietinum), also called garbanzo bean or Bengal gram, annual plant of the pea family (Fabaceae), widely grown for its nutritious seeds. The seeds are high in fibre and plant protein and classified as a super food. A great pantry staple and ideal for Vegan, Vegetarian or Flexitarian meals and Gluten Free diets.
Many of the natural and healthy properties found in pulses, also transition when they are milled into flour. Rich in vitamins and minerals. High in plant protein and fibre, more filing and less calories than wheat flour, not to mention naturally gluten free and loaded with important nutrients are just a few of the benefits of chickpea and lentil flour. And when baked or turned into a snack can satisfy those in between meals cravings for hours.
Lentil, (Lens culinaris), small annual legume of the pea family (Fabaceae) and its edible seed. The natural seeds is a great pantry staple along with your rice and pasta and can be turned into a healthy meal in minutes. Used in dips, soups, salads, dahls, as a meal on its own or with meat. Lentils are a good source of protein, dietary fibre, vitamin B, iron, and phosphorus.

We specialize in supplying Australian Grown Pulses, like Chickpeas, a variety of Lentils and Faba Beans as a whole grain, split, kibble or high protein/fibre specialty flour, by the metric ton or 20kg/25 kg bag.

We supply Chickpeas, Lentils, Faba Beans as a whole, split, kibble and flour by the metric ton or 20kg/25 kg bag. We can supply farm dressed or machine dressed product. Our machine dressed pulses are processed through a HCCP approved facility and a robust quality system.

At Wimmera Grain Store we can supply 25kg bag of locally grown chickpeas, lentils and faba beans, and 20 kg bag units of chickpea flour, lentil flour and other pulse based flour and kibble to food service, catering companies, cafes, and restaurants, looking to create vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free meals for healthy minded customers.
