Rich and robust this plant based lentil  bolognese is hearty and full of flavour.  Made from locally grown black lentils, toss it over your favorite pasta or spoon it over creamy polenta.  It is a simple, norishing, plant based meal which the whole family can enjoy.


Easy to make, all you need is 2 tbs of olive oil, 1/3 cup of tomatoe paste, 400g can of diced tomatoes, 1 cup of carrot , 1 cup chopped celery (optional) and 3.5 cups of chicken or vegetable stock.  Add  a little bit of mince for those on a  flexitarian diet or from a flexitarian family or to simply make the meal go a little further. Serve with your favorite bread and/ or cheese.  Or even use this sause as a base for lasagna.  This is such a versatile product.  Essential for every pantry.
